We stayed two nights here in Mid July 2017. The hotel was excellent! Very clean, well maintained and a great, friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious, in our case two queen beds and a pull out couch. The breakfast was quite good and the hours ran late into the morning, which was helpful. We did use the swimming pool and hot tub and both were quite comfortable and well maintained. There were even enough towels at the pool! ( A rare event! ) My daughter used the workout center and found it in good shape and easy to use. For any runners that might be looking for a route, this hotel is very near the Iron Ore trail which has a nice segment fairly close behind the hotel making it unnecessary to get in your car to travel to find a spot to run.
Our client Jay Harris seems to always be on the road as a touring comedian. He has stayed all over the country and has a pretty good idea of what it takes to be a great hotel that can accommodate a late-hours performer, and this property is no exception! The staff was very accommodating (even after 2 am!) and the room was perfect, and quiet. There was plenty of parking and a free breakfast buffet in the morning which made it much easier to get back on the highway!
Another wonderful side of the staff, they made sure my Aunt and cousin were taken care of and asked how my Uncle was doing when we came from the hospital. Again, I love the people of the U.P. !!!!
Overall an excellent hotel with a great, friendly staff. We’ll be back!
Loved this hotel! Clean modern rooms. Staff was friendly and you could tell by their attitudes they were proud of their facility. Would highly recommend to anyone!
They do have gluten free breakfast, you just have to ask for it. I wouldn't go for the toast if you have Celiac disease, as they use the same toaster, but they have gluten free cereals, eggs, bacon and yogurt if you feel like toast's too risky. The pull out bed isn't too fancy, but I slept well on it.
The staff were very pleasant and friendly. That is one of the things I love about returning to the U.P. :-) The facility, room, etc. were clean and comfortable. I was visiting a family member in the hospital and when I arrived, I found out that there was no availability at Comfort Suites. The staff checked with My Place to see if there was availability (I got the last room) which I feel was above and beyond.
