It's a shame just how far this Big Boy has fallen.
After reading reviews, I get the impression that their breakfast buffet is awesome.
We were there for dinner. Service good. Food mediocre. Prices around average. The place is okay. Nothing stands out. Their claim to fame is their buffet, nothing to brag about. The place is clean and maintained, staff is friendly and attentive. I just can't see the reason to go back with the opportunity with many other average restaurants in the area. Maybe my view could be tainted because I am not a big buffet fan.
Very family friendly. Great food and buffet. An abundant menu including drinks and desserts. The restaurant is quite spacious too and even at prime busy times doesn't feel cramped. Have not met a single unpleasant employee. Easily accessible in a convenient location.
Great place, with good food and amazing service. They are one of the few places open for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New year. Food tastes like home cooked. Nominal price for good quantity. Though we didn't try, their buffet seemed to have great selection of items.
All in all, it was a huge disappointment. Nothing even close to what I remember.
I'm not impressed. If there is something great here I missed it. Food will keep you alive until you fin something better.
Their idea of cod was mainly just overcooked, deep fried batter covering something that might resemble fish. Mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. Rolls were stale, and I just couldn't bring myself to try anything else.
However, their Friday "seafood & fish" buffet just plain sucks.
