Jared and Jeff are super noledgable, friendly, and very honest. They saved me thousands of dollars on my trucks repair. The competition said I needed a transmission rebuild, but "Terry" one of the techs, found the valve body was warped and causing a pressure drop. They got me back on the road for a fraction of the cost of what those other turkeys wanted to charge. I am grateful they diagnosed the issue and didn't just through a rebuilt trans at it like everybody else wanted to do. What a great experience.

My parents paid to have their transmission fixed and the torque converter failed 5 months later. This shop did the right thing and was willing to eat some of the cost. I'm very grateful for a business in the local area that is ethical and values their reputation.
When the job was finished and my son picked up the car there were parts missing and the job was incomplete and the cost was full price. I had to call Marquette Transmission several times to get the missing parts back they claimed they did not have. We ended up having to take the car to another auto shop and have a complete inspection and the found missing parts put back on the car and finish the repairs correctly.
Very shoddy work, highly advise you to stay clear of this trap.
Our son was a student at NMU and needed engine work performed on his car, Marquette Transmission said they could do the job. After several days of excuses and screw ups by Marquette transmission I told them to stop the work and I would make arrangements to get the car out of there, the owner got on the phone and said they were almost done and insisted they finish the job. He was quite rude and we felt trapped as we live in another state.
I will not take my car anywhere else except to Marquette Trans & Auto for any repair. They are more than fair, and do incredible work. Any time friends or family have an issue, I try to send them here.
